Eastern Iowa Bible Conference

About the Conference

High Point Bible Chapel (Davenport, IA) annually hosts the Eastern Iowa Bible Conference, and welcomes anyone who desires to attend. The conference is a relaxing time where people can gather for Christian fellowship, encouragement, and Biblical exposition. Ed Anthony of the Nashville, Tennessee area has been invited to speak at our 2018 conference, and will be sharing with us on "God Manifested in a Darkened World."

About the Speaker

Ed Anthony trusted in Christ after having been introduced to Him by some believers at Southern Connecticut State University. These young believers introduced him to a small local church in New Haven called Westville Bible Chapel. Through the ministry of this small work, by the Spirit, Ed increased in knowledge and wisdom and spent the next 24 years as a deacon, treasurer, financial counselor, and elder. Ed is now a commended itinerant Bible teacher who ministers through messages, conferences, camps, and writing as the Lord leads. He and his wife Barbara reside in the Nashville, Tennessee area and have one married son and three granddaughters.

About the Topic - God Manifested in a Darkened World

The world often seems like a dark place today. There seems to be little if anything in the news that is an encouragement. Yet, God, in patience and mercy continues to make himself known to the world. Despite all the darkness God has a testimony in the world. That testimony takes a variety of forms each of which exists from Genesis to Revelation. So, there is yet good news for the world. Join us for an in-depth look at how God’s testimony to the world is beautifully planned and executed and how that should impact our lives individually and collectively. You will be challenged and encouraged as we study his word together.
