Eastern Iowa Bible Conference

About the Conference

High Point Bible Chapel (Davenport, IA) annually hosts the Eastern Iowa Bible Conference, and welcomes anyone who desires to attend. The conference is a relaxing time where people can gather for Christian fellowship, encouragement, and Biblical exposition. George Farber of Waterloo, Iowa, has been invited to speak at our 2016 conference, and will be sharing with us on "The Living Church: Developing effective body life through interpersonal relationships and ministry."

About the Speaker

George Farber has been married to his wife, Gail, for almost 34 years. They have one grown daughter, Gwen. He received a three year Bible diploma from Emmaus Bible School, a BA degree from Trinity Bible College of Deerfield, Illinois, and a MDiv degree from Grace Theological Seminary. He was commended to the Lord's work by his home church, Downing Avenue Gospel Chapel (now Bethany Bible Chapel), in 1979. Besides working with his home church, he is involved in Bible teaching and camp work.

About the Topic

Lighthouse, hospital, and family are just some of the ways the Church has been pictured. The Church is the Bride of the Lord Jesus, His pearl of great price and the treasure of His heart. Meant to play an essential role in the spiritual life of every believer, the Church offers unique benefits unavailable anywhere else. We will explore what makes the Church so uniquely special, how it is meant to function, and what place each of us have in its mission and work.

About the Location

The conference will be held at High Point Bible Chapel, located at 2600 W 63rd Street in Davenport, Iowa.
